Historical Highlight: Groundbreaking the Langtry Villa
Gabby Giffords at Academy Villas
On June 6, 2009, then U.S. Congressional Representative Gabby Giffords held a Town Meeting at the Academy Village. She also participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Academy Villas Assisted Living building. The partipants in this groundbreaking were, from left: Ray Carroll, District 4 County Supervisor; Gabby Giffords, U.S. Congressional Representative; Kory Dingle, Endevco, architect and builder; Henry Koffler, President Emeritus of The University of Arizona; David Freshwater, Watermark Communities; Gary Fenstermacher, Academy Village resident and manager of the Villas LLC.
Prior to the groundbreaking ceremony, Representative Giffords participated in a Town Meeting at the Academy Village and talked, personally with a number of residents and others from the neighborhood. She also talked with the large group about the need for the Academy Villas and praised the approaches being taken by the builders. The residents of Academy Village were excited to have the Representative there to participate in the groundbreaking. It was also a special moment for the Academy Services LLC that is building the Villas. Information on the Academy Services LLC may be found here.
Early Morning: New Villa Construction
New Villa Construction: Soon, there will be two Academy Villas: one on Langtry, and one on Vivaldi. This is a beautiful early morning view of progress on the Vivaldi Villa. The insulation is going in, and soon the walls will be placed. It is time to be thinking of paint color inside and outside, as well as other considerations such as landscaping. In such a spectacular setting, this building will fit right in.
Please be sure to look at the discounts that are available on this building as well as the Villas on Langtry.
