From the beginning, the goal was to create an environment where older adults could continue learning, growing, and contributing while enjoying meaningful relationships and an active lifestyle.
As the community evolved, leaders recognized the need for a more supportive living option that would allow residents to remain connected to the people, activities, and environment they loved while benefitting from more personal senior homecare. Academy Villas was established to provide assisted living and memory care within a residential setting designed around familiarity, comfort, and personal relationships.
Today, Academy Villas continues that mission by offering personalized support in a home-like environment where residents are encouraged to remain engaged, pursue their interests, and enjoy the benefits of being part of a larger community. Through its connection to Academy Village and Arizona Senior Academy, Academy Villas has become a place where older adults can continue living with purpose while receiving the assistance they need. Academy Villas grew from a need identified by Academy Village residents: a supportive living option that would allow people to receive additional care while remaining connected to the community and lifestyle they valued.
Academy Village residents continue to shape this unique three-part community. Village residents serve on the governing boards and committees of the Arizona Senior Academy, the Academy Village HOA, and Academy Services Corporation which operates the Academy Villas.
Strong connections are also built through a wide variety of volunteer activities, making the relationship much deeper than simply sharing the same campus. “Friends of the Villas,” for example, provides a range of opportunities for Village residents to connect with Villas residents through shared activities.
