Holiday Singing at Academy Villas
Holiday Singing at Academy Villas with Academy Village residents. Each year, the residents of Academy Village gather in the Langtry Academy Villas and join Villas residents in singing Holiday songs. Leslie Nitzberg, an Academy Village resident led the group in singing. The group sang familiar holiday carols and songs.
Academy Village/Altura
Academy Village/Altura is a small 55+ retirement community located in the foothills of the Rincon Mountains. Residents of Academy Village/Altura are an active group and volunteer in many activities that benefit the community. Villas residents are a part of the Academy Village/Altura community and often get together for interesting activities with the other villagers. This holiday singing activity is a yearly event.
Holiday Singing
This year, the set of songs included two Hanukkah favorites, since Hanukhah fell just before Christmas. It was glorious to hear all voices raised in singing these popular holiday songs. This has become a well-loved tradition in Academy Village/Altura as well as in Academy Villas. Joining the group were several grandchildren of the Academy Villas residents. The children particularly enjoyed singing “Jingle-Bells”.
